Today Samarkand Tourism Forum started its work in Samarkand.
This international platform, created for professionals in the tourism industry, brought together tour operators and guides, restaurateurs, hoteliers, representatives of the creative industries and the public sector.
Over the course of two days, more than 40 travel industry practitioners and insiders from different countries will share their ideas and solutions.
The work of the Samarkand Tourism Forum was opened by the First Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Ulugbek Azamov.
- I want to draw your attention, dear participants of the forum, to the upcoming international events, - U. Azamov noted in his speech. - At the highest level, the 25th session of the UNWTO General Assembly, which will be held in Samarkand this year, and a meeting of tourism ministers and heads of tourism administrations of 57 member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in 2024 will be organized as part of the Year of the capital of tourism of the Islamic world in city of Khiva.
On the first day of the forum, a panel discussion, round table discussions, master classes and a cultural program are planned.
